It is when it closes, not when it comes out. I think it will close in January because they want to use a 365 day conversion window due to the DC-9 retirements. I think they have already used their one 365 bid for this year.

The ideal move is apparently to take the 195s and put them at Compass until the C-Series can be announced probably 3 years from now. Even the union entertaining this idea cannot, should not, and will not be tolerated. Absolutely 100% rediculous. I hope this isn't true...

This is correct- The january bid from this year was a 12 month conversion, although everyone was converted actually in just over 6 months

It was put out there by one of the credible posters on FI.
I stated a few weeks ago that this was one of my fears. Our C44 reps and elected reps are saying no way, it would be political suicide, but time will tell.
This makes a lot of sense for the company to do this. 175/195 are the same type and it costs no more to have CPS fly it.
The response is simple. Our jet, or pilot our contract. You want it flown on their cert fine. But by us at our wages.
Wonder what we think of splitting them out now?
