Funny how owning cats is a plus but over at the school house all you hear pilots talking about is how to skin a cat.

Or as SLI extraordinaire 80ktsclampit says, "here's a cat, now the skin has to come off."

One of the FA's was showing everyone her cat pictures on the van ride to the airport the other day. She was talking about them like they were her kids..I almost felt sorry for her.

I've had pilots do the same thing. Anyone who is looking at pets as family has a serious void in his/her life.

First, I did raise a family. Along the way while raising kids, interacting with other employees, friends, family members and generally being out in the world I learned that life is complex. Everyone has a story. Some people have not always had a Goldilocks life perhaps like yourself. And you know what? Some people do have a void.

It's interesting. I was talking to someone recently and they were discussing how they worked on wills where people left tens of millions of $ to their pets for their care until they died too. After the pets died the money was left to charity. Some of the stories were compelling as well as others I have heard. I won't repeat them but you can use your imagination.

So before we make fun of other employees, their life story, and their pets, I suggest we all be a little more understanding.

Delta does have some resilient and amazing employees.

Sorry. I could translate into pilot-speak, my native language, but I was trying to be nice this morning.
