Absolutely right. Also, I did the flight multiple times and we were always full or nearly so. If there were lousy loads there'd be zero reason for Virgin to pick it up.

It was wide open whenever I looked at it for my dad to nonrev on. Looked at it this week and it's empty. We have done very well with the VA link up. Pilot block hours are up almost 25% to the U.K.

Hmmm. A guy stating he did the flight numerous times vs a guy who constantly posts inaccurate info and judges loads by occasionally looking for someone to non rev. I think I'll go with the first.

That's awesome!! Would be great to see the source.

How is the block everywhere else? We had 36 destinations in Europe on the JFK ER just 7 years ago. How is the block to all those?

Also I remember ER in JFK at 450 FO's and no domestic flying..
It's at 322 now and a ton of domestic block?

Can you shine some positivity on that please

I have been on the ER on and off in NY for 20 years. We always had some domestic flying in varying degrees. We added a A330 Caregory in NY picking up many of the ER routes. Considering what has been happening the last 4 years in Europe I am surprised we have as much flying as we do. It's nice that we are the number 1 carrier in the world over the Atlantic.

Well the SEA love the flight b because it's usually light! Trust me they watch that like a hawk!

.

Sure, Debbie Downer.

There are now 138 X 767-400 F/Os and 133X A-330 F/Os that were not there many years ago at the ER peak. And those jobs pay better than ER F/Os.

How's that for positivity?

What domestic flying did the NYC 7ER category have back in 1999-2004?

Much like today. Usually winter only, 4 day trips out of LGA or JFK. There were no contractual restrictions on domestic flying however it was kept limited because the company had to pay international pay on all flying in the ER category. We lost that in the bankruptcy and the floodgates opened.
