Interesting!! I looked at ATL and CVG ER A categories and they, likewise, do not have any 29 to 30 shortcalls listed on the reserve availability list. If you've checked your schedule....you're off the hook! But make sure you check your schedule as well as looking at the reserve list. They may not have updated the list but it could be on your schedule. Not likely but it could happen.

The "Q" is a trip a pilot is trying to drop, but can't due to reserve coverage. It is available for pick up via white slip, but not a swap with the pot. If no one picks the trip up, the assigned pilot has to fly it.

I got called at 15:10 by crew skeds and informed of my short call tomorrow (actual person and not automated). I thought they didn't call to notify us on our last day off, maybe there has been a issue with N guys not notifying on the last day off???????

It could that the requirement to check the schedule after 1500 on your last day off got missed in the huge number of changes you guys have to put up with. I feel for the north guys, some of which haven't been on reserve for a while - the 1500 schedule check is just one more thing for them to learn.

I'm glad the schedulers are putting the effort into calling rather than screwing the pilots with "well, you're supposed to check your schedule" and them losing money with a PD (personal drop).

Who's idea was this anyway??? They MUST be retired and laughing their a$$es off about now.
Yep, after I popped a few mid-rotation I take mine in and had the backside of the buttons reinforced. They put in a metal sorta thing on the inside of the jacket and some sort of fishing line stuff that can withstand the multi-buttoning and unbuttoning requirements. Works much mo betta.

Another 330 sim was in the works until BK, it looks like we will get the approval for the one thats in Manchester...then move to MSP. We have 32 330's

Heyas,

My GF sewed the right set of brass buttons to a strip just on the inside of the holes (looks like they're buttoned). On the inside she just put a strip of velcro, with the other side on the other half of the coat.

You can do it up with one hand in 1 second and you absolutely cannot tell the difference between it and a normal coat.

It is full of win.

I can't do it. I equate that to wearing a clip-on-tie. It's almost impossible to tell it's a clip-on, but I still know it's a clip on thus making me feel like a used car salesman.
