Not so fast my friend! You look past the Little 12 game at your peril. You guys might not be the best team in the state, much less the country. I sure wish you could play TCU before the BCS game. That would be awsome 1v2 and 3v4.

If its Alabama vs Texas for the national championship then this forum will be out of control for the 33 days in between the SEC/Big 12 and the BCS.

I predict nude TX girl pictures by then from super.

Hey Satchip, back in 1996 I decided after watching the Iron Bowl (in which Alabama won on a last minute drive) to watch a movie and sulk. I picked some movie about submarines with Denzel Washington that I'd never seen. I think halfway through the movie I was like (#%)@&)!@(#*$ WRONG MOVIE RIGHT NOW!

I need to find out how to fly my brother internationally for family reason. How do i find out the buddy pass charges?? Do our emergency pass cover immediate family as well? I won't have time to use my free r/t tickets to bring him. Thank you.

Go to travelnet, list him as a buddy passrider, book him as a buddy passrider on the flight you want, they will give you the price before you accept.

Go onto the travelnet website and authorize him as a buddy. Then go find the flights you want and list him as the traveller. It will show you the price before you confirm you want to buy the ticket. It's the only way I know of to see the price of a buddy pass. Hope all is well.

Thank you both. Also, I can't seem to find my authorized buddy on a nwa segment. Are we allow to use buddy pass on ex-nwa route yet??

Any Delter Southies,

Have a question about open time on other fleets/bases. IE. Atl m88 A, lots of open time for dec, but some of the rotations show the A posistion filled. What is the deal? Thanks

No, pre-merger Delta employees cannot use their buddy passes on a Northwest flight. Pre-merger NWA employees can use both Delta and Northwest flight.

They say it's because of the reservation systems and the way each company handled charging for buddy pass rider. Should be fixed with one res system in the spring.

Open time is separated into Capt and FO groups so some trips will have either one or the other.

My guess as to what you are looking at is it's a "Qualified Personal Drop." This is where a regular line holder decides he wants to drop a trip but there are not enough reserves available to actually drop the trip so it goes into open time with a "Q" next to it on the open time line. The trip is still on his line and he will fly it if nobody wants to pick it up via a "white slip." If the trip shows in open time, any one in the category and base can pick it up and it will transfer to their line and the original guy will be off the trip.

Most guys who really want to try and get rid of a trip will post it both as a "QPD" in open time and then also list it on the Swap Board. There are different rules governing the pick of time from open time vs from the swap board. Guys can add more time via the swap board. Hope this answers the question.
