Inverse Assignment question. I'm on reserve and got an IA. Pay wise I'm assuming it is paid above reserve guarantee like a GS. Is that correct?

Dudes, non revving to cancun tomorrow and was wondering if anyone knows if the upgrade to business is like other international destinations, or more like domestic and we don't have any chance. Thanks

I would say in between. The biggest variable will be how many other non revs are above you.

Pay wise an IA is treated identically to a GS for reserve pilots, including the payback day provisions.

Just to clarify my answer...if you are ON RESERVE and get an IA (which is the case with the question two posts earlier) the pay and payback days are the same as if you had gotten a reserve GS

Not true. An IA pays double no matter your credit. There is no 75 trigger requirement. Last summer a friend did 2 4day IAs and dropped everything else that month. He made 84 hours for 8 days of work.

You are speaking of an IA for guys on a regular line (and you would be correct). The question and my answer was for a guy on reserve.

True dat. Just putting the line holder info out there because a lot of people I have spoken with did not know the trigger doesn't apply to IAs for REGs. Good info for both REGs and RES.

I came down with my family on Wednesday and we're down here now. We got five business seats coming down. I'd say it's right where it's about in-between true international and domestic. A lot of lower yield fares which don't upgrade increases your chance. But the number of non-revs makes a big difference. Good luck.
