Classic!

If I had a nickel for every time I've heard someone at DALPA say that, I could retire too!

Winning lotto number to whomever answers first.
A definite Maybe!

Now give my those numbers so I can retire!

Look, do you want my seat or not?

I need real winning numbers, not the phone number to yet another needy flight attendant being denied her rightful alimony payments!

Any chance that by "Hot Mic" we actually mean VOX? Hot mic would be better than status quo, but I'd definitely prefer a VOX system (with a hot mic sensitivity setting). Not sure why they are common in Cessna 152s...but not in 737s?

Solely out of curiosity PD, what exactly is CA supposed to do? Grieve the mid-phase validation that is not delineated in the contract nor in the FARs? I think you have to win that argument before you get to argue LCA versus LVP.

Because SW didn't want VOX?

Sim world: SLI FO who is qualified as a PCP can absolutely bust anyone on prof. checks. As early as memory items!
Moreover he can sat the ride, but if need be put a pilot or both into management discretion training which will require a return to the sim in 4 months and a full MV and LOE.

Real world: Not sure about AQFO authority. Don't they just give theater rides to funky airports? Hard to imagine a new hire getting that job, you have to have been a few hundred times to garden spots like Tegucigalpa etc. Up to CLCP on each fleet who to hire, I guess.

AQFOs have neither LCA or SLI authority. SLI F/Os live solely in "Sim World" and are completely different than AQFOs and soon-to-be LVPs.

I kinda think this is much ado about nothing....
