That's going away. The surveys will be student anonymous and specific to the instructor.

The biggest issues we have with standardization are with non-DL DGS instructors for the most part.

I would love to see the DGS thing pared down significantly-- with a few notable exceptions!

What happens when they "go back to the line?" How do they bid for a schedule they can't hold?
SLI pay and scheduling is all spelled out in the PWA. It's on your tablet for your convenience. Section 11.C.3.c covers your question of an FO too junior for the category, he goes in as the plug.

Most common complaints, non standardized, teaching of technique, lack of continuity of instruction.
Did you even see the LOSA report?

I've always had some heartache with the SLI being on an aircraft that they can't hold, but it's mostly because of pay reasons. There has been a very junior SLI on both the whale and the 777. Not even close to holding the aircraft but getting paid to fly it or do they only get paid what they can actually hold? I've been told both ways.

SLI pay is covered by the PWA Section 11.13. Instructors get paid for what they can hold. FO SLI's get paid the highest paying FO rate they can hold, but not captain rate. Since captain has gone pretty junior I would guess that all the SLI's are being paid the applicable 777 rate.

When dropping a trip, how do you make your trip show up as a "Q" trip in open time?

I put the trip on the swap board and did a personal drop.

It will automatically show that way if there's insufficient reserve coverage to drop.

You would also be incorrect.

They are all certainly being paid 7ER pay, as that category still has new hires, but you'd have to check the SLI #s, and cross reference the latest category list to see the plug on the 777B. The # of the system CA plug is irrelevant.

Sabre,

Razor is correct on the pay. If someone junior to you is holding captain and you are an F/O you are paid at the highest F/O pay (according to years of service).

A lot of '07 & '08 hires who are SLI's are getting 777/747B pay at 8 & 9 year pay ($176 & $178)

About once a year the Junior SLI issue comes up. I don't know why. It seems to me it is a lot like the CA that was quoted that he doesn't want the FO's making more than him and he doesn't like FO's sitting at home.

What is the fascination with what everyone else is doing?
