Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Not to distract from the contract politics..but I'm headed out to BOS next week for my bud's retirement from the CG after 27 years, and our classmate who just made Flag is presiding over the festivities. I'd like to bring each of them some High West Whiskey from Park City, but I plan on riding the JS (at the Captain's discretion, hopefully), and I can't find where a couple bottles would be prohibited in my bag riding the JS like they would be as a carry-on in coach.
Anybody have the gouge? Thanks in advance..CG

I don't want to do anything that would hint at indiscretion..but I'd like to bring them something from out west..and if it's authorized..a couple of bottles could turn an ordinary retirement into a "wicked-hard party"!

KCM Policies and Procedures
Notice: The Transportation Security Administration made changes to the KCM program effective on January 13, 2015.
Uniforms
Effective January 13, 2015, crewmembers are no longer required to wear uniforms when utilizing the KCM access points at airports nationwide. Uniformed crewmembers are allowed certain exemptions by the TSA when they are screened at KCM access points and passenger screening checkpoints. With the change of the uniform requirement, these exemptions at the KCM access point and at the passenger screening checkpoint will be permitted in accordance with the following:
a. Uniformed crewmembers will continue to have exemptions at the passenger screening checkpoint and the KCM access point.
b. Non-uniformed crewmembers, who are selected and receive random screening at the KCM access point, will continue to have exemptions.
c. Non-uniformed crewmembers who are selected for random screening at KCM access points, then directed by the TSA officer to the passenger screening checkpoint (at either the standard lane or employee lane, where available) to receive screening:
Notice: When approaching a KCM access point, non-uniformed crewmembers should wear their airline ID visible on their outer most garment above their waist. This will assist the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) in identifying you as a crewmember approaching the KCM podium and not a passenger attempting to breach the sterile area of the airport.
• WILL NOT be allowed exemptions
• Are not permitted to utilize TSA Pre✓™ lanes
• Do not have front-of-the-line access to the standard passenger screening lane
• (Note: Non-uniformed crewmembers are viewed as passengers when screened at passenger screening checkpoints and are screened to passenger screening standards. This is a longstanding rule that has not been changed.)

• Do not have front-of-the-line access to the standard passenger screening lane

Thanks guys..gotta decide whether or not to roll the dice at KCM or just KISS and pick something up in Beantown..
Thanks again..CG out

I don't think a couple of replies to your question are completely accurate. If you are selected for additional screening at KCM and sent to the pax lines and you're not in uniform you are held to the same standards as passengers for liquids. From the KCM website:

Hello All, Has anyone had problems listing a buddy before where Travelnet says invalid Emp number? I am attempting to list parents-in-law on tomorrow's flight from RDU to DTW on mainline, but system refuses...thinks my emp number is invalid. The helpful lady at Delta.com cheerfully can't help me and help line in Mecca isn't open until 0800,,,two hours after departure. Thanks for any advice!

As the poster above said, Uniformed crewmembers will still be allowed exemptions at KCM. Enjoy the High West. They've got a great gift shop too. Cheers!!
But for my buds that still can stomach it..they say High West Distillery off Main St. in Park City has a great reputation..and would always be a welcome gift to those stuck on the East Coast..so I try to oblige whenever I can!
By the way, they do sell it at the State Liquor Stores, so you don't have to drive up Parley's if you don't want to.
Cheers, CG

I hear you pb4, I gave up whiskey after I was over served at O'Malleys in the Alley in CVG on a long layover in the Maddog!

I live in MSP and he, in LNK. While there's plenty of novelty beers (that I enjoy) in these parts - not much in the whiskey variety.
So what's all the rage in SLC area? you like it? no doubt I'm entirely junior to you but my wife/boys/I love to ski. Pondering (yes I'm a Viking fan) the move. Do they sell homes in PC for under $750?!
