Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I flew with a really good guy that told an FO that and the guy told him no.

I flew the 88 15 years ago and did not enjoy it due to the captains and the training center (in the sim one day the instructor insists I use raw data for a holding pattern; OK I flew steam gauges a long time, not a problem; the very next sim another instructor yells at me for not using the FMS; this nonsense was the norm).
Apparently not much has changed and the toxic culture that is the 88 remains. That is why I am on the 717 and I think my FOs enjoy working with me. Yes we run the APU until ground air is hooked up... Yes we will start both on pushback if it looks like a short taxi... NO I don't gnash my teeth if after starting both gnd ctrl puts five aircraft in front of us and we taxi 2 eng for 7 minutes.
The 717 no doubt has its 2%ers as well but I like to think that I am part of a positive vibe and "culture." I rarely felt that way on the 88...maybe that's why I spent more than a dozen years on the 757.

The captains on the 717 have been great and a joy to fly with and I've heard the new hires have been really good as well. You're always going to have "that guy" and "great guys" on the spectrum but on the 717 it trends heavily towards "great guys" which is probably unique. Maybe it's because the A/C and VNAV works.
And fwiw I've flown with a lot of LCA and two APDs, they've been fun to fly with too. And the lead LCA, they're the best.
It's just a good attitude plane.

Alright, if you're like me and you're looking at those two and are just like totally desperate to have a pair to lay on the couch with, put your face in, or toss around the room, or throw on the floor and jump on top of, or maybe even have a pillow fight with, or sit on them and then when your buddies come over you call tell them they can use them, yeah, you are in luck....
Etsy.com has them for $29/each.

Pretty cool. They actually remind me of the ones SWA used to have on board back in the day. I had no idea they could be had for such a reasonable price! I've always heard they cost thousands apiece.
