But DALPA has nothing to do with the FOM. I'm sure there is a reason someone made a bad decision on the fourth floor to get a promotion. again. Like the dude that took transponders and beacons off the pushback checklist.
Now that we all finally got used to it, let's put it back in the checklist.

I consider myself a disney expert. There are no discounted rates on disney tickets other than military and Florida resident. The hotel prices on property change with season and availability, but again they are no discounts. I highly recommend going in January, May, or September. Those are the least crowded months. It is always crowded. Over crowding takes the fun out of it. It's too much money to not have fun. The price on perks is the exact same price you will get at the park after paying the fee to the vendor.

NYC is the most difficult base to staff and also has the largest number of offline commuters. Who is the genius that decided to make offline commuting less desirable? Many NYC commuting plans include a mix of JetBlue and American with Delta backups. Under the new policy American and Jet Blue are no longer options the company considers viable.
Yeah, I call shenanigans on this also, and I've got arguably one of the easiest commutes in the system (BOS-NYC). But especially on Sun PM commutes, there are often few options available. Pulling B6 and AA out of my bag of tricks is not cool.

Why is it even in the FOM if it's already contractual in 23Y? And if it needs to be in the FOM, why on earth should it be anything other than verbatim from the contract? The FAA may be inconsistent in a lot of things, but one thing they're very consistent about is their reaction to conflicting guidance in a carrier's written policies.

Here's a "surprise:"

Alitalia to leave the Transatlantic JV by 2017.
Alitalia said the Air France-KLM partnership and ancillary joint venture (JV) agreements were signed “under very different economic circumstances...
These agreements are no longer beneficial, either commercially or strategically, to the new Alitalia” Alitalia CEO Silvano Cassano said.
As part of its reinvention, Alitalia has joined Etihad Airways’ network of equity partners...
Now what?

Cheers

Good riddance to an incompetent Axis of Subsidies carrier.

The removal of offline flights as a viable commuting option is a huge negative for NYC especially. What percentage of NYC based pilots use an offline commute as part of their plan with a Delta backup? How many former Dallas pilots commute on American with a Delta backup?

How many pilots are stuck with an AE from the last few bids they would not consider under the revised policy? I'll start the count at 1.
Definately a (cheap) shot across the bow. Best case its a mini empire from the 4th floor changing things to justify their existence (publish or perish). Worst case they're gearing up for war. Maybe rumors of the masses not being happy with 9/6/4/4 concessionary cramdown with scope relief and reduced PS to pay for it with more sick leave harassment and "productivity" increases has them going to their Ford and Harrison labor busting playbook early.

Either way, it was a hostile move. The only question is why.

LOL exactly. Unlike Qantas they'll actually deserve what they get.

The FOM guidance for not extending on FAR117 also changed in the same revision.

It looks likes he company expects us to extend as long as necessary, up to the max. Electing not to extend appears to be subjected to the same harassment as calling in "fatigued." Can anyone confirm this?

Sounds like another status quo violation.
Where's Dalpa to call out this crap?

That would include me. Since the wife is a 'Sky Goddess' with AA, I get a higher priority for boarding and better intel on seat availability. Still, it's a very 'sporty' commute, and getting harder.
