Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I haven't read the entire thread, but the fact that both of you just referred to the middle class as scum is grossly offensive. I would venture to guess that any physician who refers to any of their patients in the same way would not be very successful. Are you one of those captains, or even worse, first officers, who refuses to stand at the cockpit door and thank our passengers?
A little bit of humility might go a long way... Even if the above coment was said in jest.

But I agree with you. In a way my patients (your passengers) are my boss - I exist to serve them, and if it weren't for them, my job wouldn't exist. It is something we should take seriously.
Management on the other hand...

I understand, but this is not perhaps a topic to joke about. Behind closed doors, yes. On a public forum, no. How would you like to see the above published in the USA Today should contract negotiations go south? I can see it now: "Delta pilots strike because they are not compensated more than the 'middle class scum'". Look at the heat that Mitt Romney took for his 49% comment.

Most of my pro pilot friends had their ATP by mid 20's, it is a somewhat shorter career track to left seat. I think the biggest factors are the responsibility involved (a 100 million dollar jet is more expensive than some companies, so you should be paid for the responsibility and expertise).

I now remember why I don't post here - obviously you're another member of the participation trophy, PC police, we're-all-winners generation. Lighten up. What you really are is a buzzkill.
Buh bye.
