Looks like CDO's have made their way to us line dogs. Check out ATL 249 on 4-12-15. Sign in 2100, fly to DAB, 6.75hr layover, DH back at 0700.
Called skeds, they said it's ok, called DALPA sked (spoke with F., used to be a Delta sked) she said it's ok. Called my Capt rep., he said contractually it's ok but Delta "agreed" not to make this kind of trip. Asked me to forward the info on the trip... we'll see.
So apparently CDO's are legal... need to re-read my contract.

Wait. There's no way Delta would go back on its word and fail to honor an agreement. We have a values-based culture! RA talks about it all the time!
At Delta, we demand Values. Unless they cost the company too much.

Funny, just tried to gather the data from the trip and see that I can't access the original archived trip in i-crew... only showing the actual trip, which now show's rest of 7.53hrs... still a CDO no matter how you slice it.
This type of rotation has always been buildable, hasn't it? If they want to pay them at 10:30 vs the 7:30 that was going to be in the previous LOA, build away. A guy can get quite a bit of rest on his own time if he only works 7 days and 14 legs for a full schedule.
