Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Did the "evening" flight from JFK to LAS the other day with a scheduled block of 6+09 and there was bupkus for crew meals. I thought it was an oversight and was going to write it up until I read that you get the same meal as the highest class of service for a crew meal. Well, if they don't give FC a meal/snack, you don't get anything either!!
You can check to see what the passengers are scheduled to get if you look up the FA's rotation in iCrew, by flight number. Just mouse over "Preflight" at the top, then "FA Names" then enter the flight info you're looking up.
On the same line as the flight number and times, the codes for the food will be after the aircraft type (73H, 75E, etc): B is breakfast, D dinner, S snack, F - I think is food for sale. It shows FC then economy. D/F would mean Dinner for FC and food for sale in YC:
Code:
17 C 721 JFK 1435 SFO 1837 7.02 M 75E D/F xx/xxx

dang, you're right. Thought it was 0800. Thanks.
The timeline line for LOT awards is posted on the Pilot Resources and Scheduling Page.
For you guys that got reserve lines this month, there is a little bit on how to bid for * days.

Heyas guys,
You are all making this crew meal thing harder than it has to be,
No food? Train stops. Go eat. Come back. Fly. Write up ASAP (Hint: Feds read these).
Problem fixed. Same with Call in Honest. One or two weather events, and they'll be begging to fix the problem.
Man up, grow a pair and use some of that "big bubble" crap I keep hearing about.

I agree, but doing that at departure time will get you a few off days to think about it.
(I always have some sort of food in my go bag.)
This is one of those "urban legends" that has two sides. Had the individual in this case simply gone into the terminal, sat and ate, and returned to the aircraft in 15-30 minutes, it would have been an non-event. There were other "circumstances", though.
Management would be insane to ding a crew for taking a 30 minute break for food.

I know there were other events. He sat down and had a meal, he did not jut go grab something. If I recall it was something like a 1+30 delay.
But, that wasn't the main issue. What cooked him was that he flipped off the tug driver as his salute.
