I did try to warn you shoelu!

Anyone set up a personal side to the Surface tablet? If you did and want some more space on the OneDrive, you can get 100GB for two years for signing up for Bing rewards. 2-Years of 100GB OneDrive Storage

[QUOTE=Roadkill;1822394]Will the EFB surface tablet run a Microsoft excel 2007 file?
Also, I can't figure out this charging... first the tablet charges and THEN the KB, IF you have the tablet on? What if the sleep/screen saver on tablet has kicked in, does the KB charge?
I keep plugging it in, on, and leaving it, never have reasonable charge. Then when I DO check and see 100% charged, I turn it off and don't touch it, a week later I turn it on and it's 17% charged!! What's happening to the power, how to I get this turd to keep itself charged for a trip?
Thx, sorry such a newb on this but don't have a DVD/CD player right now to watch that training CD they sent me.
THX[/QUO

Go to the secure contnt locker>Tablet help>Best practices. It goes into great detail about how the batteries charge/discharge. It will also tell you how to download your Flightplan from I-crew mobile to your tablet along with lots of other good tips.

You know there was a card in the Surface Box that we got that gave us 200 GB of OneDrive storage? And a year of some sort of enhanced Skype too?

Reject it all you want, but the IRS and any accountant will disagree with you. But then again, they're not here on behalf of management to try and get pilots to voluntarily give up profit sharing.

Ask the IRS or any accountant...if you're man enough.

See above.

Just be honest and admit you don't want to answer Deadhead's question. This is embarrassing.

Don't know. Maybe it was Nancy Pelosi, or Harry Reid, or Al Franken.

As long as you don't care, I don't care. Point being they don't have to call it Profit Sharing. In fact they could call it "Vacation" or "Sick Bank" or they might even call it "Pay Scale" or any of a myriad things a PWA encompasses should it ever be replaced.

Ceptin' that as long as management deigns to pay you PS you have no recourse. YOU didn't negotiate it, you get it whether you want it or not. Granted you might want it because your management has been reliably producing a profit for more than a decade. And since its been coming as reliably as it has your management considers it compensation, and now so do you. I think Delta Pilots should lead by their own example not follow yours. And I know several LUV "A"'s that are tired of it too.

Calling me a liar didn't work, the facts support my assertion it isn't a negotiated part of your PWA. Only a guaranteed equivalent is.

OK

Digesting......

Digesting...........

Uhhhhhhh, so if I'm following you, and maybe your mind is just on another level, like a Stephen Hawking level and I'm just a dumb pilot....but, ...... uhhhhh.....Ok...wait...let me....

Maybe I drank too much NyQuil, because I'm not quite following you.....

You think we should give up Profit Sharing, but for some evil genius reason that I'm incapable of figuring out, and you don't think there should be any increase in pay for it....(I think I'm catching on...light bulb is starting to flicker!)...Because, because...yeah, I got it...because PROFIT SHARING DOLLARS AREN'T COMPENSATION! Look at me! I'm in on the scheme....Yeah, Profit Sharing isn't compensation! No, no, we don't do something stupid like think we should give it up for something silly like pay rates...that would be foolhardy. We just get rid of it and refuse to put a number against what we think we should get in return. Holy S#!t you're a genius! Please tell me you're on the Negotiating Committee.

(Edit: Just woke up from my blissful numb minding, acid like euphoric, NyQuil induced state of clarity; you want to give it up for $5000 like you said a while back in your original manifesto about PS. The world is even clearer now....now I know what self-actualization is all about.)
As The Lama gave me way back when, I bestow upon you:

Total consciousness.

What's truly embarrassing Carl is the lengths you'll go to discrediting dissent and validating support for what has become a very profitable windfall for yourself. Its temporary, but whatever, right Carl? Its good for you. And someday as the cyclical nature of our profession proves, when PS is again ZERO you'll have yours and rally the empty handed troops with anti ALPA slogans and sentiment.

Awesome.
