Your quote of mine you pulled was from half my original post. If you read it entirely, I said that I do not want profit sharing touched, status quo on that. PLUS I want a 20% pay raise. I have no idea how you come up with me being a "conncessionist." Read the entire post, I want everything we have now plus at least a 20% pay increase.

I'm not selling profit sharing for a raise and I want a dam# big raise to boot.

Delta needs to pay me (and any another pilot) to be able to live decently in any Delta domicile.

Since my original post was stupidly written hours before the Superbowl and it has been chopped to single sentence quotes, here it is again. I don't claim to be a contract brainiac but here it is.

I grew up in SoCal but haven't lived there for 20 years. I was hired in '07 and have not been able to bid LAX until this summer. I would like to be able move back but on 8 year pay, no way.

For our next contract, profit sharing should be off the bargaining table (as in "Don't touch it"). I want a raise that will allow me and my family to live ANY of the domiciles that Delta has selected to base pilots. Its called a domicile for a reason, you are supposed to LIVE there. For those that say "Commuting is a choice," I call bull$hit. I can't afford to not to commute and please don't tell me to move to ATL.

My wife would love to live in Manhattan. I'd move there too, to make her happy, but can we move to NYC? No.

The pilot groups at all the majors have been beat down so much over the last decade and a half that they just shrug their shoulders and say, "Well I guess this is going to be the best we can do." (AA contract for example).

I want at least a 20% raise out the gate (you may want more and I'm on board with that too), the company can afford it. I want to live in MY DOMICILE and the company need to pay me so I can afford to live in THEIR DOMICILE.

The other employee groups did not negotiate profit sharing, why should the company (or us) use it as a negotiating tool in any contract? No negotiating PS! Just negotiate our pay raise.

Hum,

I wouldn't waste your time reading/responding to this guy. He clearly has an agenda and frequently pops up around contract negotiations.

I respectfully, enjoy the healthy debate and difference of opinion that often arises in this thread, but we often see people like this who throw logic and reason to the wind and aim to do nothing more than antagonize.

Care to put a little evidence behind a comment like that? Otherwise it's just truthiness.

I agree with your second point about healthy debate and difference of opinion that can happen here (It doesn't always, but it can).

Bro, that was his opinion. He doesn't need to satisfy whatever ridiculous standard of proof you arbitrarily demand.

It's kind of like when someone accuses you of pushing concessions to solve the company's problems at the line pilots' expense. Or thinks that your loyalty to the DALPA bureaucracy outweighs your loyalty to Delta line pilots.

Those would be opinions based on consideration of your posts; no "proof" required.

If management were to inflate a big rubber rat at ALPA Headquarters and erect a sign that said something like "16%+ in Bonus Payments"! I can imagine we would all respond in a single chorus of how that money was owed us from the beginning.

Compensation shouldn't be optional, conditional or dependent upon. Carve outs like Profit Sharing that can be advantaged by a select few deprive us all of a Southwest paycheck and it's time to fix that.

Now this is off topic a little but for Humbolt and all those who have to bear the added expense of the LA domicile or NYC I would be amenable to a form of COLA like I had during my Navy career based in Hawaii. This would be to my way of thinking, additional compensation which levels the playing field for members who domicile in a high cost Zip Code.

He admitted to having another account. I'm guessing he was banned previously.

In my opinion, he gets off on stirring the pot. Take a look at his posting history - or what's left of it since many of his posts were deleted for violating the site TOS - he puts out an "opinion" that is controversial then repeats it over and over again until someone takes the bait at which point he attacks.

I don't think he has an agenda other than self gratification. It's hard to know about the timing of his posts because he has posted under different names.
