Our next Contract: Food for (very simplistic) thought.
For our next contract, profit sharing should be off the bargaining table (as in "Don't touch it"). I want a raise that will allow me and my family to live ANY of the domiciles that Delta has selected to base pilots. Its called a domicile for a reason, you are supposed to LIVE there. For those that say "Commuting is a choice," I call bull$hit. I can't afford to not to commute and please don't tell me to move to ATL.
My wife would love to live in Manhattan. I'd move there too, to make her happy, but can we move to NYC? No.

I guess you missed the whole 32% pay-cut we took to avoid BK and the next 14% or so that was taken via BK.
All compensation is at risk, granted some is riskier than others.
Since we are negotiating a 3-4 year contract in a very favorable environment - maybe we should nix any change to PS until the next section 6.
Do you really think we will suffer an event that will permanently affect our profitability that would not require concessions from industry leading pay-rates.
By the way, good luck with your anti-profit sharing campaign after the checks are cut in about 2 weeks.
