ACL: What do you mean by this? Because I agree with Buzzpat. I really don't understand our logic with LAX. I live in Denver, but have family in LA and would like to eventually be based there, but the way we keep cutting back and "code sharing" with Alaska and allowing other airlines to move in there (Virgin America) and have a presence has me confused. I mean, I get it, Virgin is struggling, but you honestly cant tell me that we cant compete with Southwest and Alaska AND feed our own passengers the way that Virgin America is. Like I said, I just dont get it. I fear a DFW part 2 coming with LAX because of our company's lack of motivation to grow it.

I agree, I was just using his words. Personally, I think that the company may need to get that deal yanked out from underneath them to realize the dangers of code shares.

Any insight as to what flying the M88/90 will be doing in MSP? Will it be longer haul west coast cities along with FL and Mexico stuff in the winter (assuming they will have the 160 seats in the -90's) or do you think it will be more of the DFW, DTW, NYC, BOS, ATL, stuff? I am sure there will be some mix but any insight to the trips would be helpful.

Is there any point to putting in an VD if there isn't a surplus bid in my category? Does anyone think there would really be anyone displaced from DTW DC9B?

The point of the 90 in MSP is it has the ability to his both coasts from there where it cannot do that in SLC.

Perhaps that's the reason for the JAL emphasis. If AMR has to pony up $500m they will be tied up working the JAL deal and perhaps not have the money to bid on Alaska.
