Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Another newguy question, this about vacation.
My vacation was prorated slightly, so I bought days from the bank to bring it to 2 full weeks. iCrew shows them, but when I try to split the days and do a secondary bid, it tells me I can't do that since I don't have at least 14 days.
Any way to do this, or do I have to bid all 14 days together? Can't get through to Vacation planners in CS -I'm sure they're busy as one-armed paper hangers. Mentor is out of country I think. ALPA PBS guys the next folks to call?

The MEC will be debating releasing the openers. IMO we will not.see them.
Maybe a miracle.
Imagine the unity if DALPA released our opening positions and even better, management's.
We need to know what management really thinks of our contributions and our over $10 BILLION in concessions.
Our concessions are no longer necessary.

Thanks to these commercials with Salt N Pepa, I wish I could be the one talking to the tug driver:
"Brakes released, cleared to push tail north at a 45 and... ah, push it - push it real good, ah, push it - push it good, ah, push it - p-push it real good, Hey! Ow
Push it good, Oooh, baby, baby, Baby, baby."
Sent via my computer with tape holding the CTRL key in place.

The key here is that this is round 1 of vacation bidding(primary vacation). In each round you are bidding for 1 instance of vacation. So, if you have 14 days of earned/purchased vacation, in round 1 you can bid for 1 vacation.....in your case it has to be either a single 14 day vacation period OR a single 7 day vacation period. IF you elect to only bid a 1 week vacation then you will be left with 1 week of vacation to be bid in a future round.
In other words you can't bid for 2 seperate vacation periods in a single round of vacation bidding.

The ability to split week(s) of vacation depends on your "earned" vacation (in this case, something over 7 but fewer than 14 days). You pick your vacation week(s) based only on this number. THEN, any days you've bought are added to that vacation period.
I had the exact same issue/question. The answer I got, and it jibes with both careful reading of the PWA language and the way iCrew interface works, is that you CANNOT do what you're trying to do.
