Subject to change as always.

Looking to buy some more from China. Rumor.
Kinda amazing an aircraft design with it's genesis in the late 1970's maintains unbeatable performance in 2015.

From the "not the sharpest knife in the drawer" file, as presented by the MSP newspaper:

A longtime Delta Air Lines employee and Twin Cities labor activist, Kip Hedges, was fired this week from his job as a baggage handler after championing a $15 minimum wage for airline workers.

According to multiple postings on social media, Hedges gave an on-camera interview to Workday Minnesota, where he said, "A lot of the Delta workers make under $15 an hour. As a matter of fact, I would say probably close to half make under $15 an hour."

Delta officials told Hedges he was being fired for "disparaging remarks," according to an account on Workday Minnesota. It's unclear how many Delta baggage-claim workers make less than $15 an hour, but some do, while others earn significantly more.

After a reporter inquired about the matter, Delta said Thursday in a statement, "Delta regrets any instance where a longtime employee is terminated. However, Delta requires all employees to meet company performance and conduct standards. This includes upholding our core values of respect and honesty in any communications regarding Delta."

Maybe some flying will shift to SEA but SLC will be around for awhile. I could see the 73N category growing at the expense of the ER category as that shift continues to occur.

The O&D traffic out of SLC is one of the best O&D markets Delta has if you look at it on a percentage of the population basis. Huge national park destination airport, one of the most stable, fast growing business markets in the U.S. due to lower labor costs and taxes, close to 50,000 LDS missionaries that go all over the world from there on a yearly basis. It's not a huge market, but it is a stable one that makes cash.

Just signed a long term lease deal on the new airport terminal they just started which would lead you to believe we will be there for awhile, although you can look at BOS and argue otherwise.

Based on past practice, this scares me!

Depends on the RJ, I would rather get on a Compass 175 than an Alaska 737.

I think that if any base suffers due to the west coast expansion it will be CVG.

We're still getting -900's, so maybe they won't shrink CVG to fund a SEA 73N, but the crew resources letter mentioned that they won't be backfilling anyone who bids out of CVG either.

SLC should be fine. I don't have any data to compare how the AS expansion has affected us in SLC, but at least those annoying "AS Explorer" radio ads have stopped being blared every other minute on every classic rock station in the valley.

Could be a slow death for CVG, though...hope not.

HOWEVER: the mount sucks. There's gotta be a better solution.
Maybe not so bad in other jets with bigger cockpits but in the 737 its in the way.
Potentially so much in the way that I'm worried somebody's gonna smack the yoke on it in the flare and really prang a landing.
I'll be paying close attention to where me and my FO clamp that thing.

Check out http://dalpilots.forumchitchat.com/ forum for 'how to' info on the Surface tablet. JB has done several training videos I found to be most helpful, and there is lots of other gouge there.

So. Devils advocate here.

What if everything he said was factual.

How does it then make it disparaging or disrespectful.

If so, he might have a wrongful termination suit.
