Apparently "They" left. According to Werner von Braun we had help.

966 is final count for 2014, hope for about 600-800 for 2015 and also trying to move up some deliveries of 717 and 737. Requested by network, and now might be possible as we have found 2 new 737 sims. We just don't have sim instructors to fill them. 717 sims. Or at capacity yet so can take on extra training. Network says they can fill them so ops is trying to get them on the line quicker.
Anyone want to be a 737 sim instructor should apply, they are hiring.

what happened to the 115/mo for Jan-Apr, slight drop over the summer, then ramping back up in the fall?

With about 300 retirements likely to occur in 15 that means about 300-500 in actual list growth.

36 717's
24 739's
4 .333's
being delivered, 4 744's parked offset the 333's.

60 mainline aircraft deliveries.. 6 crews per bird would be 12 x 60 = 720 pilots needed.

720 + 300 = 920

I bet we end up closer to the 966-1000 in 2015 again when it's all said and done, but there's only "authorization" for 125/mo through march.

Total WAG napkin math on this.... I'm probably way wrong.

It would make the difference in me having to commute in the night before just to show up in the AM and sit at the airport for 10 hours waiting to pick up the rest of the trip.

Thanks in advance!
Usually for a SAQ the instructor rides the jump seat and the FO isn't released.

Nice musical abilities!

Sounds better in 1080p though.

Disagree strongly. Perhaps the "progress" hasn't been quite in your face, the advancement in computing power and miniaturization of electronic components has been nothing short of miraculous.

Sure you got Facebook, but take a peek behind the curtain and unbelievable infrastructure behind it.

Take a look at the biological sciences. Some diseases, like the flu, can now be tested while you wait. Technology that was unthinkable in 1971, like the polymerase chain reaction, so critical to so much bio-tech, is now taught as a simple lab experiment in sophmore college classes.

Hey, I love our heroes, and I was promised a flying car as well, but judging how people drive, I'm not sure I'm ready for everyone to have one.
