We could always retire them at a slower rate, then buy back some of the ones we retired to offset the retirements.

Wait, what?

At the AMS ops meeting they said the 900 was outstanding so far. Great reliability, cost lower then expected and transcons no issue. Based on that I suspect they will take all 100.

RA said that at the last LCA meeting.

Agreed, because there are more Euros being counted in the mix. At this point, we've neither added nor lost any flying.

This is where we diverge. Our percentage share of this JV's EASK's was around 47% when Alitalia was first added to the mix, making their share 53%, and it remains there today. While we are contractually entitled to more, we were never actually there, so we've not actually decreased.

No one is spinning or apologizing or saying that we've suffered no harm. We are contractually entitled to 48.5% of the total flying, and we've only received around 47%. That is real harm for which we must be compensated.

All I'm saying that this flying is additional flying that due to us -- not flying that we once had that was taken away.
It's simply not true Alan. I've read every document that's been released on this. After the Alitalia addition, we got up into the 48% area at one point, which took them down to the 52's. Since that peak, we've LOST SHARE and are currently down to the 47's again bringing them back up to the 53's. At one point we even got down into the 46's. Anyone who cares to research back can see for themselves.

What I'll never understand is why people like you, Sailingfun and DALPA spread the falsehood that we've never actually lost something that we once had. Even if it were true, it does nothing but bolster management's defense in a grievance hearing. I'll never get what people like you think you're doing to help Delta pilots by doing this.

Like Sailingfun, you have the floor Alan.

Every time I "opened" a manual that was already open in a tab, it just took me back to the tab/page where I was. Anyone else figured this out?

The example they were using was critical terrain routes where it would be nice to have the graphic and text on two different tabs to switch back and forth easily.
I don't remember that in the training. I was under the impression that we could only split the window between two different apps. For example you can display the Cat III briefing guide in SCL and the approach plate in FDP at the same time, but you can't have the approach plate and taxi diagram in FDP up at the same time.

According to this plan, during the quarter, Delta had 22 aircraft delivered. It retired 34 aircraft. Out of the 22 aircraft, eight were CRJ-900, nine were B-717-200, and five were B-757-200 aircraft. Out of the 34 aircraft that were retired, 24 were 50-seater aircraft.

About half way down. I was surprised.

A causal read of NTSB reports from the railroad industry will tell you what you want to know, Alan.
