Funny, talked with several KLM pilots last month. They were upset that their MD11's were being parked and 747 retirements accelerated. Blamed it on Delta doing all their flying. AF is also moving up widebody retirements.

We've seen this movie. You know what's coming.

The widebody order will be tied to Contract 2015.

Does "fleeting opportunity" ring a bell?
I hope we don't fall for it again.
Rumor is the order is delayed because of a big drop in used 777-200 prices. Order might now involve a mix of new and used airframes.

People can complain about their perceptions all they want but facts are stubborn things. We Delta pilots are down to about 47% of the flying in our Atlantic joint venture. We have a net loss, they have a net gain.

Carl, we have been between 46 and 48% for basically the last 5 years based on the contractual share of the flying and metric used. By actual flights we are doing around 55% of the flying. Our share has not dropped. We did not grow to the percentage required by the inclusion of Alitalia. Our ratio of fling with AF/KLM has stayed about the same however with the number of jets they are parking might go up depending on where they pull the capacity.

Are you doing the anterior?

No PT. No limitations. Do not do it the old way!

No sailingfun, those percentages are not based on the contractual share of the flying and metric used. Those percentages are due to our management allowing those percentages to continue and our "union" doing nothing to defend our language against the company's violation of said language for the last 4 years.

Classic sailingfun. Actual flights aren't the metric now are they sailingfun. Why don't you be honest for once. What is the metric sailingfun?

Baloney. That's why percentages are the metric. Our percentage share of the flying has gone down. That's not arguable. The euros percentage of the flying has gone up. That's also not arguable.

Parking of jets by one company or another has nothing to do with the percentage share of flying among members of a joint venture. I know you know that, but you attempt this dishonest spin anyway. Why do you do that sailingfun? How does this behavior make you feel better? How does this behavior advance the cause of Delta pilots?

Are you actually minimizing the out of balance status of our contract?

Do you understand the term credibility?

Sailing, I give you more credit than this.

When I read that, my hope bubble popped a little too.

Hinged on what? "What we (pilots) are willing to give up?"
