Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Boy, that agent must of been just as surprised as you!
I access the VRU via my iPhone, and don't have a problem, I guess I enter the numbers a bit slow, then again, I know guys who program the 1-800 number, a pause, then their ID and password into their phone and it works.
If you're a reserve, this is the section of the contract that talks about that:
So, I think that end of month it calculates what you're going to get paid. So it might look like you're getting 10:09, but at the end of the month it will be figured out. Other reserve guys, is this right?

Code:
At the end of each bid period, a reserve pilot will receive the greater of: a. his accumulated credit earned in the bid period, b. his reserve guarantee, or c. 5:15 pay, no credit for each qualifying duty period. Note: If the value of c. exceeds the greater of a. or b. above, the pilot will receive pay and credit for the greater of a. or b. and pay, no credit for the difference of the value of c. and his credit for the bid period.

So let me get this straight. Reserves just have to average 5:15/duty period for the month while line holders get paid a minimum of 5:15 for each individual duty period. I'm not going to lie. The more I read the Delta contract, the more I think the Northwest contract was better (other than the actual pay rates).

Just tried calling scheduling back via the VRU. Took me
about 5 attempts to get the system to accept my id/password until I entered it VERY deliberately. On the third attempt I thought it had worked and was patched through to a flustered gate agent boarding a flight somewhere ( really). You South guys ever have this problem? Or is it a me/iPhone problem?

Program the DALCrew phone number then put a , then your employee number and passcode like you normally enter it with the # at the end. Works great every time for me.
95% of the time you are going to get your 70 hrs, but if they fly you a lot of days on turns like they do on the 88 here in ATL the duty day stipulation may be the greater of the three. The computer knows what it is doing. I watch my pay and credit and it is always correct.
