Hey...not to get too far off topic, and it's probably already been covered and I missed it, but I just flew with a F/A who said they 'fixed' the iCrew Mobile (app?) to where you don't have to log into DL Net first, she showed me on her phone, but I didn't write down the web address to go directly to it. It's not the DLNET.Delta address but similar. It takes you directly to iCrew Mobile so you don't have to log in twice. (I'm using an Android phone)

It's not really an app but a web address, correct?

Anyone know it?

Thanks in advance.

George,

You are correct (with the substitution of Singapore), but I am not sure the average reader follows the nuances of the shell game. I am sure a graphic illustrating the evasion of the European Air Services Agreement exists somewhere.

There is provision in the European Air Services agreement which states that labor laws are not to be undermined by the European EAS. Yet, in the EU there are 28 different sets of labor law and now the potential to staff under the laws of the city-state of Singapore. When NAI applied, they asked for a Certificate from the US DOT and asked for an Exemption from requirements to have a Certificate. In an interesting wrinkle of law, there is no time limit for the US to rule on the Certificate, but a six month time limit to rule on the requested Exemption. The exemption ruling was made by Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, stating because of the large volume of comments from interests ranging from U.S. airlines to regional airports, “which reflects the novel and complex nature of this case” a temporary exemption was not “appropriate or in the public interest.”

So there will be no exemption, but there is pressure on both sides of the Atlantic pushing this new model's Certificate, including a multi billion dollar order from Boeing in the balance.

ALPA has been very successful in framing this as a legacy issue for the involved politicians. Does Obama's administration want to go down in history as the guys who killed the legacy airline industry?

It is a website and not a native app. You can go there directly (no double login) here:

https://icrewmobile.delta.com

On the iPhone you can save the link to your home screen, so you can get right into icrew with 1 button. iOS let me save the login/password too so I don't have to enter it every time. No clue about android but there is probably something similar.

Icrew mobile still lacks a ton of the functionality of regular icrew (like RSV availability lists, daily trip coverage, etc) but it's a nice step in the right direction - hopefully they will add all the features over time.

I'm certain Obama's administration doesn't care one iota. In fact, given his track record, he may gladly kill the U.S. legacies if it helps the rest of the world and Boeing (HQ in his hometown).

I'll fill out the Sos. But realistically, it just doesn't matter.

I takes a lot of money to get elected, and re-elected. Politicians don't really care where that money comes from, or what they have to do to get it, as long as the money train keeps rolling in their direction.

Now, ask yourself who has lots of money to buy politicians?

Can you say, "The UAE"?

All those big new Boeings have to land somewhere...

Note two: A reserve pilot awarded a GS rotation in which all duty periods of the rotation are scheduled to operate on on-call days may request that one X-day that coincides with a day on which the pilot does not have a duty period within the GS rotation be moved to the first day of the GS rotation.

You are correct Alan. Thank you. Since one of the X days in my scenario involved a duty period, I could not move an X day to day one in that case. DAMN!

Off topic but anyone know how new jury duty rules work. IE if you drop say a 4 day trip and only serve 1 day on jury do you get paid for the whole trip or just 1 day of it?
