Nonsense. Discussing DPA and the like have to do with the latest and greatest. Going off on right vs. left political tangents isn't going to change anyone's opinions about anything and doesn't jive with terms we all agreed to. Kumbaya that.

Yes year end profits will be good, but there's more to the story...

The economies of the world are in bad shape. The OPECs have undoubtedly been asked and answered that oil prices be lowered as a further stimulus to the economies which are currently stimulated heavily by low interest rates.

I expect an uptick heading towards year end, but as I mentioned before, 2015 is a crater year. This has zero to do with my stance on 2015, just my opinion on the world economy going forward. I expect the euro to be a thing of the past within three years.

Last week - 2 weeks ago, the IMF put out some pretty bad news. Consumers aren't buying stuff. Most of the western governments are so over leveraged, they are already whistling past the grave yard.

Remember that gold guy from Urantia?

Dyodd, ymmv, this is not investment advice.

You got that backwards...DPMP is the medical plan.

What changes to retirement were in LOA 46?

Yeah, and Chapter 11 and an 1113 were like, what, one year? What about all the other years after Moak "became involved?" Delta came out of bankruptcy with an ever increasing positive outlook back in 2007. And we've never heard one word from Moak or his disciples about restoring our profession or our contract. All we've heard from them is every excuse in the book why it's supposedly not possible.

DAL pays and is self insured. The DPMP is a contractually funded plan. It'll be interesting to do a comparison of its costs to that provided by the described plans offered to the rest of the employees. It'll be close but it doesn't offer an HSA option.

That's why it's all the more surprising when people like you and John Kerry bash our nation after your service. Understand however that when you do that, I'll never allow you to use your past service as a shield from criticism when you so wrongly spout revisionist left wing "history".

They both won their wars and so they are heroes and not terrorists. The colonists won so George Washington is the father of our country and not a traitor to the British army. He came to fame serving as a Major in the British army in the French and Indian wars. He was rewarded by the crown with large swaths of what is now Ohio. From their viewpoint he was a traitor.
Another standard tactic from the ideological left...moral equivalency. Really quite disgusting. We are not war criminals. We never will be. We don't exterminate the innocent. You're absolutely embarrassing yourself Alfa.

No it doesn't Alfa. Spin and self-deceit might depend on where you sit, but not facts. No matter how hard people like you try to revise facts, they live on regardless.

Regardless, the plan was in bad shape last year, I haven't seen the numbers this year. I'm sure that I'll be dropkicked to the "affordable horrible plan" sooner than later. They want nothing to do with the retirees. Keep that in mind when you guys go for a new contract. If it ain't coming now, it ain't coming ever.

It absolutely is the case. The ALPA PAC is a perfect example. When it comes to funding new people to seats in the Congress, ALPA PAC overwhelming supports far left democrats. Overwhelmingly.
