I realize that. He's saying that a lot of 'younger guys' moved to the DAL widebodies- the 764 and the 777 in 2005. They didn't. It's always been senior, and nobody on it I've ever seen was 'young'.

Where are the AE results? It's been closed all afternoon and still nothing?

This is ridiculous!

Of the 2000 Delta pilots who went early during that time frame 1700+ would have turned 60 before the age went to 65. By now you are probably talking less then 100 who would still be around had they left early.

But our 'Widebodies', according to them when this comes up, were 767's, which new hire pilots have held and continue to hold. If you're talking the Northwest definition of "Widebody", then no, there weren't a lot, or any, 'younger guys' on the 777 or 764, on the verge of bankruptcy.

All I did was move backwards in the seat I've held since before Sept 11, until about a year ago, but you'd think I flat out stole it from a NW DC-9 guy. Never gets old!

So...If you realized that....It's OK if a Southie says it but you hate it if a North guy says it....Got it.

Not to change the subject but have any of you taken a look at the new healthcare plans for 2015. Gotta say I'm not impressed. If I read them correctly, this year under the diamond HSA (which becomes the silver HSA) the deductible for an individual is $2750. Then the 80/20 kicks in for another $500 so the max out of pocket for an individual is $3250. It looks to me under the 2015 plan the deductible is NOT counted towards the max out of pocket so the 80/20 now applies to $2500 (instead of $500 like 2014). Making the max out of pocket about $5000 for the year. I'm talking similar plans from year to year.

Am I wrong?

Denny

Much overlooked and in dire need of repair. Basically worthless unless you have a major event.

IMO management should put $4000 a year in all pilot's HSAs and the unused portion rolled to the next year.

That is the way it worked for me last year. Thank Goodness my lovely wife is now gainfully employed. We just switched to her insurance plan, which looks a lot like airline plans did before 9/11. I did include health plans on my survey response, but weighted it pretty low.
