Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
That is BEST case scenorio. Not always out of sunny ATL. They will also be done out of NYC, DTW and MSP. Then you add in de-icing in winter, summer storms other wx delays, MX issues and doing multiple in a row. This is more the norm than the perfect scenario. Then guys call in sick for a string of them then there you go.... they end of being done by reserves who never wanted them. HELL NO! I was forced to do them for years.....worse thing on planet earth for flying IMO. I like a gentlemen sched. If I wanted a freight sched. I would have applied to Fedex or UPS

If stand up overnights are in the new contract it will be a no vote for me.
1 - I will find some way to get out of the trip and some other poor sucker will have to fly it.
2 - If I end up getting stuck with the trip, I will be calling in fatigued for the morning flight. I will not sign a release certifying I'm fit to conduct a flight when I'm fatigued. That is illegal and irresponsible. (How do you guys think CDO's came to be known as "illegals" in the first place? )

The company never wanted them. When the original 5:15 proposal came out the company spent several weeks costing it out. It took time because they basically had to rebuild every trip over the prior year to produce a bid package reflecting 5:15 and then compare that year to the credit generated under the old rules. DALPA then had to verify the company was using a min cost solution. The results were 5:15 was a very high cost item. The negotiating committee was getting lots of input that a significant number of pilots wanted CDO's. We offered them up to mitigate a small portion of the 5:15 cost. The rest of what happened is well known.
Some good video.

When they cave, it should on be with Timbo's conditions. If someone calls in sick for it, it has to go straight to green slip. It must be voluntary under all conditions of coverage.

You guys are like a bunch of old women on the CDO thing. I realize it's part of a anti ALPA rhetoric to keep bringing them up but here is the simple truth. The company can take them or leave them. They are not pushing for them. CDO's originated with the pilot group. If the contract survey shows they are not wanted that will be the end of the story. Find something new to whine about. If you're concerned about them then get your survey filled out.
"it's unsafe, but we'll do it for double pay"...not a good stance IMO
