Thanks much for the IT words Bar. Think I'll look for a pro2 on Black Friday. Or send the wife... well, add it to her list.

In order to avoid starting a thread, does anyone know how one can JS on Delta with a checked bag? I would think go to the ticket counter and ask them to create a listing as a JSer but everytime I've tried that I always get told to just go to the gate to list for the JS (which obviously one can't do while trying to check a bag).

Any # to call ahead of time to at least create a PNR/shell listing to facilitate a bag check?

Thank you

JS ... then ask FO to schlep bag downstairs and retrieve it. I try to take good care of our guests.

You should not talk about your love of all things GoJets. Be a good guest of the ride ALPA negotiated, and Delta provides for you. I've got some KUL bag tags in the event that you just can't help yourself.

Otherwise, the bag ends up here.

Does it have a camera? You know, for cockpit selfies?

I got a surface pro 2 for the wife for $280 at staples. Was display model but looks and works fine. Retail-display 20% discount-$100 coupon. At that price it was a steal. I did get the protection plan though since I figure the battery will probably be shot in 6 months. So I'll take it in and see if they'll upgrade me to pro 3

Though Pro 2s are getting hard to find.

Do like the agent says. Go to gate. They will check the large bag into the normal cargo and you pick it up at baggage claim. Only thing is it has to fit through security scanners. The only bad is that you have to abide by fluid amounts. As an offline I beleive that is the only way.

Where are you finding Surface 2 pros? Haven't seen one available since the 3 came out.

If you're in uniform, the liquid quota doesn't apply..... Also, don't know about Delta, but jetBlue gate checked bags come up to the jetbridge, not baggage claim. It might be dependent on what airport it is, but still something worth asking.
