Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
According to Flight Global....
Air Lines has narrowed down its options for a planned widebody order to either the Airbus A350-900 or the Boeing 787-9, says chief executive Richard Anderson.
“We’re in the process of either choosing a 787-9 or an A350-900,” he said during a speech at Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport Foundation on 24 September, based on a recording provided by Minneapolis Star Tribune reporter Kristen Leigh Painter. “The important thing about that is that fleet is going to unlock the longer haul markets.”

Well, that was a quick comeback for FSU.

Two different animals. A golden star day can not be violated due to an assignment. An X day can be violated, but you are due assignment pay and your X day back.. It has been that way since at least POS96.
The transition month thing for a regular line holder is exactly as you state though. Regular off days are not protected when going from reserve to block holder. You are certainly better off in that situation to have a golden day, or at least an X day at the end of the reserve month if possible.

That would be nice but the IRS won't allow it. The profit-sharing money is not "qualified" retirement money. It's ordinary income. Only the 15% is qualified money.
You can put the profit-sharing into your 401(k) but not into the DPSP. If you've already hit the $17,500 limit into your 401(k) then you are out of luck. The profit-sharing is taxable wages.

What would your suggestion be on how to handle the situation? Your fully pay protected in the current month and aware of any changes in the following month prior to bid opening. There has to be a mechanism to adjust rotations month to month.

I agree. No one has been a fiercer advocate for Delta pilots doing Delta flying, and for only Delta pilots negotiating flying with Delta management than BB has. Sure, he's a bit divisive from a N/S perspective, and he often defends ALPA when doing so seems irrational, but those are not cardinal sins.
If he happens to be on FPL, why deny it?
I despise hidden agendas, which is why I detest guys who pretend to be something they are not, or who deny their affiliations.
I just want to know what general position, if any, he has in ALPA's hierarchy, in an attempt to better frame his perspective.

I've had two days of FPL since at Delta Airlines and have worked mostly on days off. My jobs have been calling pilots following disasters to see if they needed assistance (scheduling, furlough emergency relief) and the planning of a PUB event which I could not attend because I was out flying a trip and could not get off for the event.
You are encouraged to go to ALPA's site and click on the banner to the right "STRONGER GOING FORWARD" which has all the BOD information. It is hoped you will read the agenda items and committee reports since they are interesting reading for our future as members.
Also, Flight Pay Loss publication is a duty of our association. We have a right to know who works for us.
