I'm actually expecting some form of "help us buy airplanes" in C15. I'm sure it will be in their opener, and will probably survive in some form for our consumption/consideration.

Is this still possible? Or did the rules change with an LOA awhile ago? The same LOA that changed "trip parking." If I did this on a noon PCS run, can I pick up the dropped trip at noon? Or do I have to wait till the 1700 run?
Still works. If you only have a single pb day, it'll drop the trip but only credit the first day. Sharpshoot carefully.

I'll preface this by saying take a look at the Scheduling Reference Handbook about page 60+. It will tell you about PB days and how to use them.

That being said, I'm pretty sure that any trip or portion of a trip dropped with PB days is considered pay AND credit. Take a look at your max pick up at the bottom of your schedule. If it says you have enough room to pick it up before you use the PB days, you will have it afterwards. The tricky part is if you only drop part of the trip and how that affects your max pick up. I ran into this max pick up problem a month ago. I was legal FAR 117 wise but my max pick up prevented me from white slipping a trip. (I had used payback days to drop a couple trips.)

I'm not sure about picking it back up on the same PCS run. Never tried it.

Good luck!

Denny

Whoa. Care to expand on that a little?

Thanks Scambo and Denny, I will take those thoughts into account. My main concern was dropping the 2day ( i have 2 PB days) and then not being able to get it again if it had to sit in the pot for 5hrs for all to see, and someone senior getting it on the next run.

A barometer of the 20 or so people that comment on here. 20/12083 * 100 = .165% so if it were up to 30 people commenting on here then 30/12083 * 100 = .248%. Don't even know what kind of drop that is in some size bucket.

Life is entertaining.
Compressor stall on #2 on takeoff. My mx buddy was there in Atl. Said it was fun with Obama being there and all.

Completely agree. The order is going to be a part of the 2015 package. I halfway thought about this back when we signed a 3 year deal on the last contract. They knew then the widebody order would be lining up right on time for this contract.
