So is outsourcing jets to 120 seats. Or pay cuts, or alter ego flying. I see the chance of us ever approving such rules unlikely. Apparently this has been asked for before and was a non-starter. Too bad we've already allowed alter-ego in the form of JV's. Notes from C66 base mtg indicate Reps think it likely they will transfer Atlantic flying to our lower cost Virgin division

On a side note, from the C66 meeting, as to the AF/KLM/AL JV, the company itself does not like the three year look back/one year cure period and would like to move to a one year look back.
That's not what I got from them. I understood them to say that we are currently flying above the minimum level allowed now, but that there is nothing to stop the company from decreasing the flying to the minimum level allowed per Section 1 of the PWA. Therefore, it is imperative that we capture the level of flying currently as the new minimum in the JV LOA.

Why didn't our brilliant, best in the business guys put teeth in the JV when it was initially implemented into the contract. You know during that time we had no leverage...the merger.

Already happened. VA LHR-LAX 3 man, Delta LHR-ATL 3 man. Now they swapped
VA LHR-ATL 2 man, Delta LHR-LAX 3 man. Saved a whole crewmember.
Just did the survey. Very disappointed in how so many questions were essentially asking us what type of concessions we wanted (profit sharing, specifically.) Also, with so few characters available for expressing my specific ideas, I'm not optimistic that the negotiators will get a good grasp of the opinions of the pilot group. Poorly done.
They are on the survey to give that clear concise input to. Please do.
Consider it an opportunity to give clear direction on items that may impact staffing. Many of those questions we from the webinars and what pilots wanted asked. It allows the membership to tell the MEC and NC what they do not want to see. These sort of things like Profit Sharing Changes, Banding, Training Freezes, Small RJ Outsourcing, Split Duty Periods and the like were all items that pilots wanted to have their voices heard and and made that clear.
