Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
You need to get new reps then. Was at the 66 meeting yesterday, and they had the language there for anyone that wanted to read it. They also asked everyone for their opinion after a rather long discussion about it. My concern was about setting precedent, but was assured that it didn't. FWIW, the PERP program already did that anyway.
The guys who are gonna make out like a bandit here are the non 747 guys who take the early retirement. By putting their name in, they get to stay until their actual retirement date or 9/1/15, and then STILL get the 8 months of pay and 3 months of medical premiums.
The whale guys who take it will be gone by November 2014.

Ask yourself why you are only allowed the bullet points? That we are not smart enough to comprehend? The language only becomes public when we have to live by what the reps voted on. I can only assume one of two possible reasons for their desire for secrecy; neither very flattering.

Management gets out of a jam and 25 wealthy guys get wealthier? What about the other 12,000 of us?
Selling It
I emailed my rep to vote no. Got a reply basically telling me the "benefits" of the program (selling it) and to let him know if my opinion change after reading the reply. I replied that they should still vote no. We'll see what happens.

The MEC recently attended a Special MEC meeting in ATL to discuss Delta’s interest in a small, targeted, Early Out program. An agreement was reached yesterday on LOA 14-05 Voluntary Retirement Program. While I believe there was an agreement at the last MEC meeting that LEC’s were allowed to send out LOA’s before the MEC votes in order to take input from the membership, I have now been informed by the Delta MEC Administration, that the actual language of the LOA is considered “confidential”, and LEC’s are not allowed to send the LOA to the members. We are allowed to send out bullet points of the agreement, but not the actual language. To say that I am frustrated and disappointed is an understatement. In my view, there is no valid reason why the actual language of a LOA is confidential but a summary of the agreement is allowed. With that being said, I have included the bullet points of the agreement below, to seek your input. The MEC will vote on this agreement next week after having 7 days to review.
Above is the the email from my rep (it came sept 6 and maybe things changed since then) minus the bullet points.
Also...I don't recall the previous PERP targeting a fleet type?

Makes you wonder if they have interview sim rides for these guys.
