Colganguy,
Management is pro Delta and pro management. They will deal with whoever the pilots send to the table.
The Delta pilots are tolerant of this DPA thing. ALPA bends over backwards to serve and placate.
Do whatever you wish. Perhaps best to just ignore the mess, unless you are into that sort of thing.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember that I was responding to a post in which you said that you distrusted ALPA. My apologies if I misunderstood that you were actually referring to my reps and those of my fellow Delta pilots. You not being one of their constituents, and I say this with all due respect, have no right to expect their faithful representation.
Never give up that fight.
Can you give some example of federal offenses that a pilot could commit that were "directly related to his employment"? Certainly there are drug/alcohol offenses that may fit into that category, but do you think hacking a fellow pilot's website has ANYTHING TO DO with the purported offender's services to his/her employer?
I don't think this case has anything to do with the purported offender's employment.

While I do not doubt there are some individuals who would fit that description, that's a broad and inaccurate brush you're painting with index. I know three pilots who were full-time FPL as committee chairmen or vice-chairmen that voluntarily returned to the line in the last 9 months despite being asked to stay. There have been others as well during that time frame, although I am unsure as to whether their departures were voluntary or not.
