Do you really seriously believe Delta is shrinking when we are hiring approximately 85 pilots a month? We are now back up to over 12000 pilots on the seniority list. Now, if you want to say top end flying is shrinking, I might give it some thought.

When you lobby congress, I hope you listen better than this. Where did I accuse you of "being on the take?" Why would you jump to that defensive conclusion by my stating that your bias is likely due to you working in the ALPA PAC? Yikes. My "bread is buttered" by Delta because I work there, not because I'm "on the take." Same with you at ALPA PAC.

Guilty conscience about something maybe?

Oh there is. Dickson is looking forward to discussing with DALPA ways to mitigate displacements.

DALPA's on it.

At some point we're going to have to go back to a 1960s Citabria just to make flying affordable to learn.

So is that $250K for a degree? Then you fly a $400K Cessna 172?

I wish I could remember what I paid for Auburn in total, I think it was under $30K. I think that's what one year is now. The other problem they had is they charged the students full price for fuel because the University owned FBO wanted to show how profitable it was.

The only thing that would make that better if he was rocking some Dr Dre Beats that way he won't hear the train.

Speaking of trains...

And they survived.

We all know it's all about government guaranteed college loans. When that river of money comes to a stop, college prices will drop as well. It's just math... Apparently math that is way over the heads of the US government though.

Yeah I don't think so. I graduated 10 years ago from the over priced school in Daytona and I had the most money that could be given to a student due to financial hardship and the max I could get from the government backed loan was 1/6 of the total price.

I cant imagine the cost now but I seriously doubt that the average student can borrow 100k from Government backed loans

PS .... I HATE SALLIE MAE!!!!
