Isn't there a way to back door the AE result? I thought that there was somewhere where your new position would be displayed if you got something different. On another topic, is a payback day of any use to a line holder or is it just to get an extra day off on a reserve line? I have a few in the bank and couldn't find anything in the PWA about how they can be used.

I'm sure it's being dealt with. It's possible that the individual is having some serious personal issues. While certainly a black eye to Delta, it just might end up being the push that sends this guy to PAN. It could save his life. I know it's pure speculation on my part, but the fact that he snapped so easily makes me think something else is going on in his life.

I'm sure you did, but maybe remind her that pilots are human, and we suffer from stress too. Remember the JB pilot who was locked out of the cockpit by his FO? It happens. I just hope that if this guy needs help, this will get it for him.

You know Mother Delta doesn't like this stuff. I'm sure the call has been made for the appointment with representation present. I actually hope it results in some help. This DAL pilot's response to the controller is just a symptom.

Definitely of use to a regular line holder. I've used payback days to get paid for two trips in August and I don't have to fly them. Right now I have one 4 day trip and I'm getting paid for 81 hours. If you don't use them by the time we bid vacation for next year, they become supplemental days and you bid them with your next years vacation. It's much better to drop a trip with them.

Go to PCS, leave requests to use them. To drop a trip there does have to be adequate reserve coverage. IOW, reserves available have to be greater than reserves required for all the days of the trip.

Contract question. Last leg of a 5 day Xld due to mechanical. Supposed to repo on scheduled day off. Anyone know what that's gonna pay. Day scheduled for 4.30 block? Is that straight time? Thanks

I've been calling friends the last couple days trying to kill this story, but the media wants to run it because they believe it was racially motivated. Yikes!

Of course it was. Typical mainstream media.

ATL based and I bid for "no early month," "no weekend," and "no A periods." Just did CQ two weeks ago in my early month, on the weekend, with two A periods...

Delta1067,

I forgot to mention that you can green slip or white slip a trip over the payback days you used to drop a trip.
