Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Wow, talk about different results.......early on we had some issues with Lido using Ballnotes for spd/alt restrictions rather than putting them on the course line, but it was an education process for us.
When we looked at EFB products, we found that the Jepp graphics and data base were lacking, and the lido was better.
Sounds like we had extremely different experiences with the product.....I'm hopeful that D will consider shipsets, and select the best product for us all.

LIDO makes TERRIBLE paper charts. That is an EFB only product.... Jepps are far far superior in paper format.
For one- lido puts everything into scale, so you end up with many many more foldout charts and quite a few additional sheets of paper. Thus, your already overflowing chart binders would be much worse than they are now.
Then there's really no logical formating for them- no briefing strip. Just have to sniff around on the chart for the appropriate information. The color looks pretty, but really just makes it more cluttered unless youre viewing it on a screen.

Oh, I forgot one thing. The LIDO special airport pictorial charts are pictures taken from flight simulator... and not a new flight simulator program. Hills? Nah- everything is flat. It's a wonderful representation, let me tell you.

When RA did his first Narita base visit a friend of mine was present. RA told them over 100 world wide were available. Does that sound right?

It'll be sad to see the DC9-30/40's go, but if we get an equal or greater amount of MD-90's cheap I suppose it wouldn't hurt to fly them half full. DAL would own them, and with better fuel efficiency & no lease payments they woud seem to be a good filler until a viable, proven 100 seater shows up.
