You can select the S2 at check in but it doesn't do anything. We're S3C on connection carriers. Endeavor might be different since we own them.

Apparently so.

That memo from management has to be pretty embarrassing for DALPA.
I'm somewhat surprised that management rubbed DALPA's nose in it so blatantly.

There's the pay thing and then there's also the part about our new ADG being no big deal because it's offset by other productivity concessions we've made.

Makes DALPA look awfully ineffective. But I guess that was the intent.
Hence my comment. At DAL, it pays better to threaten to join a union than to actually have one.

When alt * came on it was doing the computation as to how long it took to get to the fcu alt, since it was much lower than the previous demos the autopilot caused the aircraft to pitch up to meet the calculations. The aircraft was rolling off on one side and the pilots pulled the other engine to idle to straighten out the aircraft. Initially it was thought that it was only a 330/340 problem, but via the sim we found out the 320 had the same issue, I think there was a software change....its been a long time. One of NWA execs was supposed to be on board and bowed out at the last moment, I think there were a lots of execs from Allitalia on board.
Good synopsis. For you boeing guys, ALT* is when it captures the altitude and leads into it.

Even after the software updates, you can still get in trouble if you're at the edge of the envelope as many protections go away when you get into ALT*.

Sneaky, but effective, the way you got the young man in the picture with his "backpack on"....

I'm curious as to exactly what DAL means by pre-bankruptcy levels. As I recall, all employees took cuts pre-bankruptcy and then even more during bankruptcy. For us, getting back to pre-bankruptcy levels could be interpreted as getting back to LOA 46, which is not saying much at all.

Or is DAL saying that other employees are back to where they were prior to 9/11?

Unless it leads to the next LBO. Naw, that could never happen.
