Yeah, As are out but I'm trying to backdoor the B & keep getting denied! Good thing "no" really means "maybe, if you keep trying it!"

Out of idle curiosity, as it will be left to other to make this point as you say, what items in our contract make us less productive than our counterparts at other airlines? From the comparisons recently put out by APA and SWAPA, we all seem to be pretty much the same when it comes to work rules.
There are also big differences in types of operation. If I were at the negotiations table I would beat the company up over their fleet plan. In 2006 they put put at a ops meeting that Delta could not survive unless we got down to 3 fleet types. They are a tad slow in their execution on that one!

Carl, productivity in this industry for pilots has always been measured by block hours flown. That is the measure that ties into contractual items. Guys can argue other metrics all day long. We can bring them up before the NMB. In the end block hours flown are what counts. Some of our lower numbers are due to our fleet plan and some are contractually. It will be up to the negotiating committee to make those points.
By the metric some on here want to use the most efficient pilots in the world would only fly A380's. Management on the other hand is concerned about how they stack up against SW with both of us flying a 737 from ATL to DFW.
I do find it interesting that we are claiming on the one hand that we are More efficient because we fly larger aircraft thus generating more revenue and ASM's and then in many posts argue that pilot pay should not be based on aircraft size and revenue generation ability.
One last thing, I am not arguing we give up any jobs with more productivity. Several years ago I was the one posting on here how many jobs we had lost to work rule changes. I was shouted down and told it was all RJ's not work rules. Funny how things change.

I think people would get off the "bash sailingfun train" if you would just admit that you don't really know how we compare to the other airlines when it comes to efficiency. Maybe you can say the jury is still out until the 2013 data has been compiled, or something.

The biggest between us and SW is they can white slip to FAR limits at straight rates. They have no cap. Caps at other airlines are higher. Some airlines have very little sick leave. Many can hold back rotations for training and not pay guys to sit home. Some don't pay protect lost trips. There are hundreds of small items and differences.

It is impossible to understate the ENORMOUS "productivity/efficiency" concession we made in C2012 when we agreed to make July and August into 30 day months.
That little gem cost us an untold number of jobs and saved the company mega millions.

Okay, who do you call up or send a message to if you think PBS has screwed up. I want to know why it didn't award one of 6 trips (that are in the open time) that fit one of my parameters and would have gotten me to a regular line.
