Also, the folks who don't pass their SSP interview are going to hang out in their Captain seats and reduce the amount of seats available for First Officers to move into.

So MAYBE a 6 year upgrade and then 2 as a captain for maybe 8 years to get to Big D. When you could go to someplace like Mesa, Compass, and PSA etc, with equally poor or slightly better pay, but a quicker upgrade and apply and get interviewed well before 8 years.

Maybe in a decade this will be a good program.
Word I have is that United is sucking people out of Endeavor like a vacuum cleaner. I think they are seriously underestimating the power to get people to stay there.

Hey Bar, that is an interesting letter, and it clarifies a lot of things for me, and I must admit I tend to agree with it. To whomever said that it would create disharmony in the cockpits, that seems pretty spot on and I can see why.

Just as an aside for everyone's info. I am in the Collierville Baptist Hospital today, and my mom is the proud new owner of titanium hip #2. She broke it on Saturday to start the process, but was previously scheduled to get one today anyway. She just decided to complicate the process. The saw bones just left our room, and gave me the story. She's in recovery now and should be back "online" in a few hours. 2 weeks or so of rehab and she'll be good to go. I had an experience with orthopedics back in the early 90s, and they are even more amazing today. Ahhhh, if I could go back to my early 20s ya'll probably wouldn't know tsquare. So anyway, if my posts today have been a little off axis, that's why, but this place is a nice distraction from even that kind of stress.

Everybody fly safe and be careful out there.

That's what management doesn't get, guys will do anything to leave here. Their desire to leave 9E is greater than the desire to work for Delta. These programs will not work for staffing the airline, instead they will cause fights between pilots. We have three different merged airlines, working in 5 different job classes: Captains, Downgraded CAs who still get CA pay, Downgraded CAs who don't get CA pay, FOs, and finally, Delta EtD FOs.

TSquare,

Best wishes to your mother & hopes of a speedy recovery.

My uncle is a rancher in western N.D. & broke his hip last fall working cattle. (Not Broke Back Mountain style for all those thinking of the play on words.) He went in & was out the next day - or morning after, don't remember the exact timeline - needless to say, he's as active as ever. Today's technology almost makes procedures like those "outpatient clinic practices!"

Does anyone have an ETF they like for trading the VIX? It pretty much sitting at 11 and change and hasn't ever been much lower. I can't buy call options in my brokerage link (I already bought options in my regular brokerage account) and am looking at the various ETFs to make a little profit for my brokerage link.

I haven't looked at VIX ETFs before today and there are quite a few. Short term, mid term, 2X leverage and such. Does anyone out there in APC land have a favorite?

Thanks, E

Send a PM to dalad. He was describing something along those lines to me once in the crashpad, and I got lost as an Easter Egg.... I think he was speaking Icelandic.
