Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I think it speaks to the power of this forum. I lurk here frequently when something like a TA discussion is going on. It is the only place I know to get up to date info.
It also motivated me to email my reps that I would reject the TA because of the CDOs. Apparently the squeaky wheels were heard.

I don't know who any of you "lurkers" are who did that, but --
raise a glass tonight and congratulate yourselves.
This was a very good day for the Delta pilots.

Good job on killing the COD. No half fuzzed-out jockey moving my old boney *** about, is a good thing....Memory rat lives!
The small number of guys wanting real productive trips (so they can pick up more real productive trips) getting a resolution through makes perfect sense to me. Lots of things in a representation type of body are driven by very vocal and angry minorities. When the rest of us wake up to what has happened our choices are limited. Our choice today is to text your rep for memrat or a delay to get more member input.......in other words, we become the angry vocal body.
The CODs (I think we need to call them what they are going to be called - SDP) don't effect me and I'll vote with you guys if given a chance, but here is why they strike me as "odd" and not for us. No, I don't think they are anymore unsafe that a lot of the other crazy back of the clock stuff we do......But........we all worked hard to get to "the majors". I like Delta (better than NWA) because it's a classier act. The company wants the efficiencies that NWA or RJ world has as we pick up more and more of the old RJ type flying, fair enough........but no. That's not who we are, we're older and have paid our dues.
At the majors, there's a dress code (name the movie reference for a beer - think baseball)

1. When Carl and T agree we have a winner!
2. I'm scared as hell what Scrappy will bring us in C2015.
3. Schiz stamps his approval on whatever is put out. I truly wonder now if he is a pilot.
Should have a SDP carve out just for him to fly since he pushed that BS so hard.

Not to rain on our self congratulatory parade, but now I want to think about next year. If this is the kind of stuff we can expect from our negotiating committee, my confidence is not high. I truly hope the MEC pulls those guys aside, in private, and tells them to get their bloody act together or they will be replaced. The fact that this even made it to the MEC is troubling.

Bar,
That is a poor drive by attempt at best and you know it. I am sure since you read that post you must have read the whole thread that it was based on. Basically the same argument was being made on that forum as was on here about CDOs good or bad. Then it turned into a North South thing, something you are familiar with. Ken basically is saying that yes it was passed at the C20 LEC but it was passed also by the entire MEC. So at that point it is a DALPA issue not just a local LEC issue…but you knew that.
I would say there are a lot of guys you can go after but at least for former NWA guys Ken is not one of them.

KW reponded strongly and personally, then started a separate thread to do the same. I'm just trying to figure it out. Why the divisive politics?
"Drive by" is a MP saying. With 9,400 posts it would be hard to state this Dude's a drive by. Further, like anything else, the more you guys try to ignore the obvious, the more I will recall it to your attention. I am annoying that way.
If KW is DPA, then they've recruited a capable man. His talents will be wasted there.
