Okay but how does the company know you got the long call trip assignment if you don't acknowledge it? Same for assignment to short call from long call. I'm confused.

I just talked to one of my reps. He is going to push for memrat. You are jumping the gun by a huge margin with your comment highlighted.... You don't even KNOW whether or not it will go to memrat, but you are already loading up the carbines. Wind your watch.

Let me get this straight.

The MEC wasted AT LEAST $60k of our dues money in an FPL boondoggle to defeat the DPA, and you didn't make a peep.

But spending 20-40k to let us weigh in individually on this POS is not ok?

I'm never a single issue no voter though, and I always weigh out the whole thing. C2012 fell too short on too many issues IMO for example. We'll see how the big picture is on this as well.
I am not a single issue voter either. But we need to be honest here and characterize these as concessionary. But IF... we get enough gains.. and protections to keep these God forsaken things from getting out of control, and sufficient protections from repercussions in the event of throwing the fatigue card, then I just might vote for an agreement that includes them. Sans that... nuh uh. Not interested.

As for the rest of it, for the sake of argument, who say's CDO's are concessionary? One mans trash is another's treasure. You could probably convince me pretty easily that this is a concession. But.......

As far as the other stuff you mention, how is it a concession to retain language that is already in our contract? Isn't a concession, by it's nature, giving up something? If we simply raise the ADG, that is not a concession but a gain. We are not giving anything up. Now if you said we needed more of a gain to get rid of the restrictions, I could agree with you.

Denny
You aren't going to see anything remotely resembling a CDO on the 330. I probably won't because NY 7ER doesn't have many if any city pairs that will include these. That being said.... You are right about the trash/treasure thing. Africa.. to me, is trash. I don't want to go there... ever. But they go senior. (thank God) These are different because imho they are a camel's nose under the tent. They change a fundamental "safety" issue that 117 was allegedly all about. *rest and fatigue* The devil is in the details to use the cliche, and I want to know the protections that a pilot has if he gets stuck with one of these and does not desire them, and subsequently finds himself in the middle of ATL winter weather SNAFUs and even greater reduced rest. That camel has me concerned greatly.

How is starting at 10am on first day of reserve an improvement? Isn't it noon right now?

Augmented Transcons anyone?

Why the carve out 0000-0200 for 5:15 Average day?
So they don't have to pay us an extra day for those 0130 arrivals. Nothing different there than what we already have.
