I have an open mind about the TA. Patiently waiting for the language.

Just like to express one concern:

The "Vectors" e-mail from the MEC says --

Special MEC Meeting to convene 21-22 May in Atlanta to consider the agreement. More information will be forthcoming after your representatives have had a chance to meet in special session and consider all aspects of this TA.

I hope that doesn't mean they aren't going to show the line pilots what's in it before they meet to vote on the 21st.

Please MEC --> include us in the process. Publish the TA before you meet. Don't do this in secret.
Agreed. Also, if this union is ever to achieve solidarity with it's pilots it will need to loosen the reigns and let the membership vote instead of signing agreements with management followed by a full court press sales job. If the agreement is good, it can stand on it's own.

However, Index going toe to toe with Newk was a mistake.

I agree. Release the TA with it's language details. Then have the neg committee release a position paper explaining it - and the whys of it. We're smart people - let us make the decision.

What if the agreement were such an obvious improvement, like LOA 29, that it would be a waste of resources (time/money) doing roadshows, etc?

I'm planning to go to the meeting next week to hear it all from the horse's mouth - should be interesting.

That's sad. "No foul play is suspected", yet his car was in a target parking lot and his remains were found in a lake.

My prayers are with his family, hopefully this brings them some closure.
