Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I know this is gonna start a big furball, but I am curious as to why you believe their meeting to discuss the TA is somehow a "secret" before putting it out to the membership. Why is it necessary to be published before they meet? Don't you want your reps to understand what was agreed to before they have to answer some of the inevitable stupid questions they are gonna get? (Like why we surrendered without even a whimper) Or is it that it is going to be viewed as a "sales job"?
If the meeting on the 21st is only for discussion then I'm good. No problem.
However, if they plan to vote up or down on ratification at that meeting, then I would like to see it first so I can provide input to my reps and they can answer questions.
Certainly, but I think the point is to give a pilot an opportunity to provide input to his rep on a TA prior to that rep voting it up or down (less important with memrat, obviously.)
If you reagin you interest; we should win, index. It's obvious that we have the winning hand. That was the only point I was making.
I think we're saying the same thing.

I agree with both of the above...

Schedules are released....
Don't bother calling Donatelli, call your reps. The committee guys and lawyers did their job by delivering a signed TA to the 19 guys who will accept or reject it, and he is not going to get in their way since he won't vote on it anyway.
They should release the text of the LOA, along with the cost analysis. Negotiations are over, and this isn't protected information any more.
Now watch the political game play out over MEMRAT. Again, this has nothing to do with Donatelli, who won't have a vote on that either. Everything that happens from this point forward is up to the MEC.
I will wager a bottle of Maker's Mark that we got a favorable deal. The talks stalled out for a few weeks during this process, and Scrappy seemed content to wait for Summer IROPs rather than rush to get a quick TA.
The only downside of waiting is that is drags out the time it takes for pilots with illegal PDs on their lines to be made whole. That has to be part of the deal, and I think that we would have gotten it in a grievance anyway. I really appreciate the pilots who didn't flinch on this one, by the way.
And the geniuses at the DPA will inevitably attempt to make hay from this. Like everything else to them, any vote is a referendum on ALPA, and with this cycle they get a twofer.
Call or email your rep. They have had the thumbnail sketch version for a week, and the LOA for 24 hours.
Anybody going to the meeting? I will go there after my trip ends on Thursday morning. I will show the shocker/APC salute to everybody in the back row. That didn't work out so well last time, and t hope there aren't any Marines at the meeting who get the wrong idea...
