It would have to be the NEO. The 330 was not included in the RFP. Airbus still has not made a decision on the NEO. One is expected at the Farnborough show.

I was hired when I was 24. I truly hope age 42 doesn't make one a "grandpa dad"

I really don't have a passionate position regarding the buddy policy. What I am passionate about is protecting the privilege we all enjoy. I believe in a personal dress standard and I believe in a strict etiquette when dealing with our fellow employees and passengers. I guess you could call be "old school" in that regard.

The long and short of it is, I recognize pass travel privileges are just that. A privilege and thus not to be abused.

Travel safe,

OC

Wait till you retire and watch a 24yr old with a hire date of yesterday get on before you. Just saying! Not that it is wrong, it is just the rules

Sorry about starting such a controversy!

The long and short of it was that we all went as S4's because we were all on the same reservation with the buddy. I don't know if that got answered, but something to keep in mind if you are going to travel with a buddy.

Bottom line is I wouldn't ever want to travel on a buddy pass again, talk about being at the bottom of the list!

Nicely said. FWIW, I do understand your position. It would be nice to have an occasional trip with a close friend or relative, and have them share your seniority. It's just that the flip-side of someone getting on, or getting upfront, is often that someone else doesn't.

I also completely agree with your view on dress standards and etiquette. The flip-side of which needs to be that FA's treat nonrevs like human beings. All too often, we get to enjoy our well-earned benefits, to have some bitter person make you feel like you're interfering with their break schedule, or remind you that you get to choose your food after the real passengers, the crew, and maybe Mr. Socks back home, because he really likes something tasty off the cold plate...

FYI, I got some sort of warning from Norton about blocking a false site attack when trying to get on APC yesterday (forget the exact term they used).

Started out at RTB noon on the 10th got to TYS noon on the 11th, no hotel -S3B. Ya gotta be strong. Guys don't remember that at one time you could not have reached your 28th birthday to be hired. Grandpa dad indeed....

Respectfully... don't care if you were hired in 1930 (1st year of passenger service at Delta), no S4 should EVER bump an active employee... period.

I think I got the false site attack. It was trying to replicate Windows Defender and was an obvious clone. Said I had some malicious files on my computer and I should click to run a scan and have them removed. Closed it and ran a normal scan. Came up with nothing.
