Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
That is because everything we get is costed out for the FA's also. They have been in full gift mode to the FA's giving them the additional pay for training, vacation, per diem etc. that we negotiated for the pilots. I for one am very tired of that being taken into account when we ask/negotiate for items.
How did you find that out? Aren't negotiating positions supposed to be confidential or am I missing something?

Personally, I think the company will not negotiate with us any further, including C015, because they've got the deal they want. RA was smart to dangle a minimal raise before the mega profits rolled in. We fell for it. It costs them nothing to keep the contract in place, as we are again outpaced by our colleagues at SWA, FDX. DALPA will continue to sell seat advancement due to attrition as a 'win'. Settle in...
I do like your notion of baby steps, though.
That's a company decision, not ours. Not our problem unless DALPA makes it our problem. Same reason I don't care what other employees think of my pay. Let them go get a pilots license.

Now then, given that the Delta pilots have received an annual increase in pay rates (two in 2012) every year since BK, how many here believe that we as a whole will have the stomach for a long-term fight? Not trying to start a fight over this -- I am truly wondering.
Their vacation pays 6:00 per day and CQ is 4:30.
While I agree with nearly everything here, I have yet to see DALPA selling "seat advancement due to attrition as a 'win'." That said, settling in is exactly what we need to do. I see little opportunity of a substantial net increase in cost in our PWA being achieved outside of mediation, let alone by the amendable date. My back-of-the-napkin math tells me that we would need to increase our annual costs by nearly $1B to fully restore our former buying power. I do not see RA giving that up until and unless he is completely backed into a corner and sees no other alternative.

DALPA has a banner at the top of the website announcing '### New Captains since C2012'.
Seems like a bit of flag waiving to me over something which they have no control...

......if DALPA had been out in front on this. Sad they are not.

ALPA's been in negotiations since the beginning of the year. In other words, your representative is five months ahead of APA. Further, while we can expect that negotiations will result in something agreeable to both sides; the APA only has the expectation of a grievance procedure that they could lose.

Who knows if the 717's would have shown up (I think they would). But, Delta saved a lot of money with the RJ swap and has yet to actually order about half of what they were allowed.
If I had to guess, that banner is to counteract those who suggest that C2012 has taken us backwards in career progression. In my view, neither position is accurate or appropriate.
