Hillbilly-

Although I disagree with your position, I've got to applaud your unemotional response. Like FTB said, it's kinda fun to lose your cool. You've now robbed me of the chance to hurl another round of insults.

My apologies to you. You sound like a nice guy and we just have a difference of opinion of what needs to be done.

It's like a weird variation of Whack-A-Mole when they're trying to pop in the plane. But still a tad bit better than their hanging outside half blocking the door and thanking the passengers for flying with us.

This is the massive downside to increased reserve utilization and productivity. Ability to tweak sched drops to nil and QOL is taking a huge hit. Very difficult to swap or drop.

An increase in reserve utilization and productivity would result in more of a surplus of pilots, not less. What we are seeing here is the result of insufficient hiring and an airline that has been drawn down nearly as low as it can contractually go.

That said, I agree that the upshot for us is a hit on QOL.

My question is do I put in for an APD on day two only, get the entire trip dropped and can then try to GS or WS something on the other three days?
YES!
Apd one day only then u can pickup around It. U can never fly later on a day with apd listed so just apd the one day to drop the trip.

No worries. If we ever cross paths, first round is on me brother. We all tend to be more like minded than not when we get out from behind these computers.

Default Reserve Rest Acknowledgement

Say you are on a single X day when scheduling calls to leave a message assigning rest starting at midnight after the X day till 6 am to get a 30 hour break.

If you wait till 2 am after the X day ends to acknowledge the rest, did you just break the rest period and negate the 30 consecutive hour break?
