May I suggest some awful but high-credit trips in that period? ;-)

Cheers

Thanks George!

Wilco on the crappy trips.

We don't need no stinkin' 2L door on the -88. Our cleaners just wait until First in empty (maybe) then invade the cabin, emptying trash cans in the face of deplaning less-than-HVCs and all but shoving them out of the aisle if they get in the way. If stealing all the stuff the passengers left on the airplane slows the cleaning down too much, they can always just escape down the aft stairs when the next round is boarding.

I am sure they're being hammered to clean and then move to the next jet. Something is wrong with the system because crowding passengers is the norm. Except somehow you fly to a small out station and the agents clean it and we still turn fast.

Please don't call me an apologist. I am not one. I only express my opinion based on the information I have available to me and I try (not always successful) to keep my emotions out of it when I do. I am not apologizing for anything anyone else has done. Saying so is only a quippy little catch phrase that isn't factual nor is it productive. As to your question, they are negotiating to find a solution.

Are they going to take our retirement away? Pay us less than they did 14 years ago? Take away crew meals--but continue to feed the F/A? A 7th short call?
I am not hampering anything. I certainly haven't told my reps they shouldn't give direction to file. I think either side in a negotiation for anything (not just this issue or with pilot issues) would become less receptive to finding a solution every time they get poked in the eye by the other side. Maybe you're right and there would be no impact if you poke the other side in the eye in the middle of negotiating. The company certainly poked us in the eye with the Dickson letter. I know that impacted how I felt about the issues, it ****ed me off and I told my reps that. I don't believe filing would achieve a negotiated agreement quicker, but I think we all would agree that nothing seems to be happening very quickly with this issue anyway.

Last month I believe. I know they filed 12 last year.

Well, since you asked, you are well adept at repeating the DALPA drivel. As to your understanding of how negotiations work, you are CLUELESS.
I wouldn't characterize what you have written as "drivel" and I don't think you are "CLUELESS". I respect your opinion. I just happen to disagree with your opinion more often that I agree with it.

Default Personal Drop Question

I asked for but didn't get a day off that I need next month. Now I have to try and get out of the trip. I need off on day two of a 4-day and all four days have inadequate reserve coverage. I won't be able to drop it but reserves available is greater than 25% of reserves required so I should be able to use my APD. My question is do I put in for an APD on day two only, get the entire trip dropped and can then try to GS or WS something on the other three days?

Yes, assuming you wish to keep your options open to pick up time on the other days.

you could always put it on the swap board first and see if anybody picks it up.

You would be amazed what people will do to avoid the pick up limit.

Put it on the swap board - one man's trash is another's treasure.

agreed on the swap board first

and yes.. Only put the APD on one day, it will drop the whole trip anyway and you will be able to pick up on the other days.
