In case anyone missed it, an American Captain reviewed the RAM Mount that Delta is going to use for it's EFB. This is a must watch product review.

Guys,
Its a fairly simply proposition - How do we recognize other APC posters without coming across as a total dork? The key is in the initials - APC. We make up a fictitious name with the same monogram, say Alan Cline for example. Then you bring in the P.
It would work something like this, "Hey do you know a guy named Alan Cline? I think he went by his middle name - Percy? There it is APC.
Obviously we would have to come up with a weird name to minimize false positives. The beauty of this technique is that you remain covert if the recipient is not an APC L&G poster. He will be none the wiser and will say something like "Don't know the guy."
So there it is, a simple way to covertly introduce yourself to all other APC L&G posters without sounding like a geek.
Now - who wants to start the process of picking a name?
OBTW - The name can really be anything I just thought the initial of APC could be helpful, we could always use something like Larry Gold for L&G.
Scoop

Scoop
Perhaps we could throw in a few random descriptors to negate false-positives and assure one is talking to a certified poster.
"You didn't happen to a have a guy named Larry Green in your class?"
"Former Air Force guy, I think his call sign was Gold-Bond?"

One of the funniest things I've ever seen (at another airline) was to strategically place another pilot's flight bag in front of the CPO ... then walk by giving the Chief Pilot the shocker ... only to watch him come running out of his office and fall over the strategically placed flight bag, get back to his feet and throw said flight bag across the crew room while yelling.
Capt. Anduze, miss you brother.
Capt. Anduze, miss you brother.
One of the best, and strangest, picks for Chief Pilot ever.

Reserve Question #6969
I am on reserve. I am awarded a personal drop day.
Can the Company assign me a trip that flies into said personal drop day?
If no, forget all else. Start next bid group.
If yes, what happens to my personal drop?
Does it just slide? Am I awarded pay above the cap for that PD day?
That is all. Thank you.

IOW, if there is any way around the reroute, they will undo it. If not, they will take the PD off your line, restoring your guarantee, and the reroute will pay as though the PD was never there. (I found that last piece out the hard way!!)

You cannot be awarded or assigned a rotation that would fly into your X-day, not even as a YS or GS. You can, however, be rerouted into a PD day. As this is a hard non-fly day, you would have the right to call Crew Scheduling to let them know of the conflict, and they would be required to make "every reasonable effort" to resolve the conflict.

Thanks for the answer
