She needs a visa... and they are a pain in the butt to get. I just got one for my spousal unit.. AND.. they have to be activated within 90 days... FWIW

I've seen some things to make me say bad idea. I don't think passengers want to be harrassed in the airport terminal. I don't know, I know skymiles and so forth is important to the overall mix but I don't really know if I like how its being done.
I really hate the one's in CVG who all have the same line as you walk by. "You flying Delta today?" Who do the idiots think your flying when your walking through a terminal that only has Delta flights in it? I was non-reving through there and one idiot asked me that and I said, "No I'm flying Southwest today, but thanks." He got a crazy look on his face and didn't say anything as I continued to walk down the concourse. I don't know who the bigger idiots are, the pests in the airport or those who decided it would be a good idea to let them harass our customers.

Denny,
Remember - this whole category recently was, and still is almost 50% domestic. Most guys in category actually consider this a good thing - the ability to fly domestic, Hawaii, and international. Of course the 24 hour short call is a major bummer and one of the reasons I mandatory displaced to other than the ER.

Isn't everyone going to be ER qualified soon?

iceman,

The domestic 767 category in LA is combining with the ER category and probably will be completely ER by about Feb. next year.

Scoop,

I don't mind flying some domestic trips. Looking at the open time for November, it looks like we lost bunch of Hawaii flying to CVG and ATL. Here's a question. If you are in an ER category but flying a "domestic" trip, do you still sit 24 hour short call? Inquiring minds and all......

Just an out there question, but why is there a difference between domestic and intl for short call duration?

Because the FAR work/rest requirements are different.
